75th Anniversary Walks

Walks led by Derbyshire Countryside Service Rangers

Guided walks leave from adjacent to Hayfield bus station:

Saturday 21st - at hourly intervals from 09.30 until 14.30

Sunday 22nd - at hourly intervals from 10.00 until 15.00

Two short walks will leave The Sett Valley Trail car park in Hayfield at 9.30 am on Saturday and 10.00am on Sunday and every hour there after. One walk will be in a clockwise direction and the other anti clockwise. The anti clockwise route will follow the Kinder river to Bowden Bridge car park, then the road to the reservoir, and the path to William Clough. After a short walk up William Clough the route will return to Hayfield via the Snake Path, White Brow, and Middle Moor, a distance of approximately 4.5 miles. The pace will be relaxed, there is one steepish hill and it is envisaged that each walk will last about 3 hours.

All walks will be lead by a ranger. No need to book a place - just turn up.

Public Transport is available from New Mills stations, with a special free coach service on Saturday 21st. See Travel page for further details

If walks are full, there will be a new ‘Trespass Trail Guide’ available which can be followed. The trail will be way marked.
